SUMMARY: Nikki Lambert’s husband purposely stalls his truck in the path of the midnight freight on the same day her eldest son, Jack, is diagnosed with a rare genetic disorder. Injured NFL quarterback, Ramsey Delaney is benched from his starting position leaving him ample time for more hands-on involvement in The Good Sports Club, a community center he established where Nikki’s sons, Jack and Rocky are enrolled. Jack’s deteriorating motor skills concern Ram’s employees who bar Jack from attending the club without Ram’s knowledge. Nikki wants nothing but normalcy for Jack and she heatedly confronts Ram for depriving her son of a beloved activity. Ram immediately reinstates Jack forging the fateful bond between Nikki and her boys’ number-one sports hero. Ram is instantly attracted to Nikki. He wants to win her heart more than he’s ever wanted to win a game. But after her husband’s terrible abandonment will Nikki trust Ram’s motives and open her heart to love again?
THE BACK STORY: Through this story, we wanted to explore how the traditional tight-knit family can find its relationship with love torn to shreds upon the diagnosis of a potentially fatal disease. We explore this through the broad spectrum of love we are all blessed with – romantic, maternal, brotherly, and paternal love. We’re also on a mission to raise vital awareness for ALD which, while unusual and rarely diagnosed, is vicious enough to turn any family’s life into a nightmare. The book was actually inspired by a real-life event that we conceived, held by Kathie’s son, at Harvard University, to raise funds for ALD.
Kathie’s son, Mike, was captain of the football team and discovered that the team secretary’s grandson had received an ALD diagnosis. We’re so proud to be turning this literary project into something genuinely charitable.
WHY THIS TITLE: The title coincides with a real-world event that we conceived to fund adrenoleukodystrophy research.

WHY SOMEONE WOULD WANT TO READ IT: Written from the heart by K.M. Daughters, a unique writing partnership between sisters, Pat Casiello and Kathie Clare, ‘Fill The Stadium’ embroils readers in one family’s grapple with a fatal genetic disorder, its impact on two young brothers’ passion for football and its ability to redefine the many types of love that exist in life. But this is so much more than a book of thoroughbred fiction; Daughters’ narrative also raises vital awareness for Adrenoleukodystrophy.
REVIEW COMMENTS: Kirkus Reviews: “Nikki—an ordinary woman suddenly confronted with an extraordinary demand on her adaptability and emotions—is a vivid fictional creation. And young Jack himself develops into the book’s most memorable character. The book’s well-orchestrated ending sections shouldn’t leave a dry eye in the house.
An effective modern-day romance about two people brought together by the tragedy of a child’s illness.”
Amazon reviewer, “Wow! If I could give this book more than 5 stars, I would. I absolutely loved this story.”
Kathleen D. reviewer, “Another great novel by KM Daughters. You filled our hearts with “Fill the Stadium.”
M. Watson, reviewer: “I loved every word.”
Lisa Fitzpatrick, reviewer: “I couldn’t put it down. It was really well written, liked the different points of view of the characters. The story reminds us that kids can accomplish amazing things when they put their mind to it!”
AUTHOR PROFILE: K.M. Daughters is the penname for team writers and sisters, Pat Casiello and Kathie Clare nee Lynch.
